The National Tooling & Machining Association (NTMA) promotes manufacturing businesses to potential customers, government, and communities. NTMA is the national representative of the custom precision manufacturing industry in the United States. For the most part, NTMA members are small businesses, yet the industry generates sales in excess of $25 billion a year. Our members design and manufacture special tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, gages, special machines, and precision machined parts. Some firms specialize in experimental research and development work.

“People that missed last night's event, really missed out!” A quote heard multiple times at the Taste of Nashville event… what an honor to spend time with Tony Arata and Gillen Young, telling the story of tooling and machining in the region and contributing to familiarize more young people with opportunities in the trade.
I had the pleasure of attending another great Northwestern PA Chapter NTMA event this weekend. It was so good to talk with Gillen Young and others about the importance of manufacturing and what the NTMA is doing to make sure that everyone hears that message!

Nick has worked in the family business since he was 13 years old, attended Crawford Tech for drafting and design, trade school to learn CNC machining and programming, and became the second generation owner of Graham Tech Inc. in April 2023.
