The Haggerty Museum Of Art (1234 W Tory Hill St) is celebrating its 40th anniversary with an art exhibition show! Visit the Haggerty Museum of Art on Nov. 11, anytime between 10:30 a.m to 4:30 p.m., for a two-part installation of the exhibition galleries and well over 100 works of art from the museum’s collections. Harley-Davidson Motor Company plans to transform part of its warehouse in the Near West Side into a Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math Lab, or STEAM Lab! The lab will partner with local organizations and schools to provide students access to resources, receive mentoring from Harley employees, experience hands-on learning and encourage career exploration in STEAM fields. Thanks to a $350,000 investment made by the HARLEY DAVIDSON FOUNDATION INC in 2022, the park’s 30-year-old playground and invasive plants are being replaced with amenities that better serve the community. Near West Side Partners is thrilled to share that Concordia 27 will be receiving additional funding through the allocation of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds by the City of Milwaukee to create more affordable housing units for neighbors earning approximately $15 per hour. We applaud the leadership of the Milwaukee Common Council, whose support further catalyzes Concordia 27 to reach its full potential in the Near West Side. This will improve the lives of neighbors, who can now access health and wellness resources, engage with others in beautiful, creative spaces, and grow into new full-time job opportunities — all under one roof.
