The New York Charter Schools Association is a nonprofit membership organization that serves as a unified voice for the over 300 public charter schools, representing their interests at the state and local levels. We believe that a growing, more effective public charter school sector will significantly increase student outcomes throughout the state. We envision a future where every child in New York has the opportunity to attend a great public charter school where he or she can unlock their full potential.

On National Voter Registration Day we hosted a voter registration event with over 80 attendees from American Dream Charter School, The NYC Charter High School for Architecture, Engineering and Construction Industries, and Leaders in our Neighborhood Charter School. Over 40 students and staffers registered to vote! Special thanks to American Dream Charter School for being our gracious host site, Senator Luis Sepulveda, Assemblymembers Amanda Septimo and Chantel Jackson, and our youth advocate Khamel Terry from Exalt for speaking with our students about the importance of voting.
