The Preeminent Peer Leadership Network of New York City Chief Information Officers
About us
NewYorkCIO is one of 30 chapters in the Inspire Leadership Network, a national membership organization comprised exclusively of CIOs from public and private businesses, government, education, healthcare, and nonprofit institutions. NewYorkCIO exists to help CIOs thrive in today’s most challenging C-suite executive role. The chapter regularly convenes leading CIOs and fosters meaningful relationships by hosting non-commercial, member-led programs—helping CIOs gain leadership advantage. We create opportunities for technology leaders to engage in substantive, issues-based discussion related to their industries and profession. Members benefit by collaborating with others, building meaningful relationships, and promoting professional development through executive events that facilitate valuable interaction among senior-level experts. MEMBERSHIP QUALIFICATION Members must be a Greater New York-based CIO or equivalent senior technology leader for an organization with at least $100 million annual revenue. Organizations over $1 billion qualify for a second membership and organizations over $5 billion may enroll a third member – provided the organization’s primary technology leader is a member in good standing. ABOUT THE ORBIE AWARDS The ORBIE Awards is the premier technology executive recognition program in the United States. Since inception in 1998, over 500 technology leaders have received the prestigious ORBIE Award. The ORBIE honors chief information officers who have demonstrated excellence in technology leadership.

#NewYorkCIO | Liftoff Inspire Leadership Network Amy Abbott
The room was filled with conversation and warmed by laughter last night as NewYorkCIO came together for our annual LiftOff Dinner. This annual event kicks off the new chapter year and celebrates those fellow CIOs who joined the chapter this year. As we say at Inspire, the answer is in the room and clearly it was last night. The power of all the tiny connections and bigger ah-ha moments were on display as stories were swapped and cheers were made to toast a year well lived. At the core of what we do is foster relationships to build a strong community. This year saw incredible growth, both in size as well as members investing deeply in the relationships that help them in their professional journey and navigate the quickly changing headwinds in business. We do this because we believe life is better connected Having a network of supportive peers who understands what it means to be and CIO helps our members with complex leadership challenges and drive innovation in their organizations. Cheers to a great 2024 together and here’s to an incredible 2025 together! Thank you to our trusted underwriter partners for your support and contributions to this incredible community! #NewYorkCIO | Holiday Social Inspire Leadership Network Amy Abbott
✨ What a night to make connections and celebrate the magic of authentic relationships! Last night, the #NewYorkCIO Holiday Social was a beautiful reminder that the most valuable connections are those built on authenticity and shared experiences. 🌟 This chapter loves to gather not just to be among great leaders, but to be with great people. Thank you for hosting, Peter J Scavuzzo at your beautiful 3rd Avenue location! The big smiles, sparkling conversations, and hum of the energy in the room made the evening truly special and shine brighter than even the iconic Rockefeller tree! 🎄✨ A highlight of the evening was hearing from Bret Leonard of Year Up United, who spoke passionately about their mission to empower young adults through professional training and development. He introduced Johanna Torres, a true inspiration, who shared her incredible journey from the Year Up program to becoming a VP at JP Morgan Chase. Her story is a powerful reminder of the impact of education, mentorship, and opportunity. Great leaders are more than their strategic vision. It’s their authenticity and humanity they bring to the table. Let’s keep shining brightly, together. A huge thank you to everyone who attended and made the event memorable including our underwriters T-Mobile, Lumen Technologies, Qualitest, SoftwareOne, Slalom #Leadership #CIO #CISO #NYC
