Today NYC Talent and The NYC Mayor's Office for People with Disabilities celebrated National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) by acknowledging the employers, advocates, and community organizations that are reducing barriers to employment for individuals with disabilities and making the city’s economy more inclusive. NYC Talent's Center for Workplace Accessibility and Inclusion (CWAI), which is led by Martha Jackson and Shondelle Nicholls, acknowledged the contributions of several employers and providers who exemplify this year's NDEAM theme of “Access to Good Jobs for All". Among those receiving acknowledgements were Accenture, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, NYC Citywide Administrative Services, The Filomen M. D'Agostino Greenberg Music School, Beth Rosenberg from Tech Kids Unlimited, the Axis Project's George Gallego. Thank you to the The Filomen M. D'Agostino Greenberg Music School for opening today's event with beautiful musical performance and to MOPD Commissioner Christina Curry and Abby Mayerhoff for showcasing the incredible ways the city is working to advance career success and a more inclusive economy for New Yorkers with disabilities.
