My job sends me to some really cool places all over the country and this was definitely one of them. For 44 years Fox Valley Wood Products in Kentucky has been responsible for making 80% of the American made walnut rifle stocks in the country! He only has five employees…. since Remington and other rifle companies have came and gone he still makes the blanks for Henry, Browning, and Beretta. #NyleSystems #NyleDryKilns #DryLumber #Kilns #LumberDrying #DryWood #nylekiln #kilntalk #kilntech

It is so rewarding when we get to see that our machinery is helping someone else build their dream all while creating beautiful artwork that will be here for a century or more! Just Rustic is a family owned and operated business out of Fort Morgan, CO. They handle every step of the woodworking process from tree to table and we are honored that part of that process is drying all of their lumber with a Nyle L200 kiln! All of their woods shows up in log form. They slice, dry and build with their own wood — ensuring that things are done right from the ground up. You can check them out at: Justrusticco.com

In this latest episode of KilnTech Stan will be discussing the proper layout of your DIY 20' or 40' container kiln chamber. If you follow these basic principles with your build your L-Series dehumidification kilns will function and dry optimally. If you have any questions for Stan or have a topic that you would like to see discussed in an upcoming episode of KilnTech don't hesitate to send us a message or an email to Service@nyle.com! #NyleSystems #NyleDryKilns #DryLumber #Kilns #LumberDrying #DryWood #nylekiln #kilntalk #kilntech #kilnIQ https://bit.ly/3Ada4ke

It’s a well known fact that Dehumidification Kilns create the best quality staves on the market. So it’s only natural that Adam and Jeremy are off to beautiful Napa, California for the Associated Cooperage Industries 2024 annual convention! #NyleDryKilns #DryLumber #nylekiln

Here at Nyle we REFUSE to build a direct fired kiln for many reasons but the biggest reason is safety so let’s go over some advantages of our Indirect-Fired Kilns Reduced Fire Risk: * No Direct Contact with Flame: In indirect-fired kilns, the heat source is separated from the wood by a heat exchanger, meaning the wood is never directly exposed to flames. This significantly reduces the risk of combustion compared to direct-fired kilns, where wood is in close proximity to the flame or hot gases. Since the wood in indirect kilns is not exposed to combustion gases, there is a reduced chance of creating a flammable or explosive atmosphere inside the kiln, making it inherently safer. Consistent Drying Quality: * Uniform Drying: Indirect-fired kilns provide a more uniform heat distribution, resulting in more consistent drying of wood. This uniformity helps reduce the occurrence of defects such as warping, cracking, or uneven moisture content, which can occur in direct-fired kilns due to temperature fluctuations. The ability to fine-tune temperature and humidity levels ensures that wood can be dried at the optimal rate, preserving its quality and structural integrity. Energy Efficiency: * Heat Recovery: Indirect-fired kilns often incorporate systems to recover and reuse heat, improving overall energy efficiency. This can result in lower operating costs over time compared to direct-fired kilns, where much of the heat energy may be lost through exhaust gases. Since the combustion gases in indirect kilns are not vented directly into the drying chamber, there is less waste heat, leading to more efficient use of fuel. Environmental Considerations: * Reduced Emissions: Indirect-fired kilns typically produce fewer emissions, as the combustion gases do not mix with the wood or the air inside the kiln. This makes it easier to control and treat emissions, leading to a lower environmental impact. While they may have higher upfront costs, these advantages often lead to long-term savings and a lower total cost of ownership, making them a preferable choice in many wood drying operations.
