For waterworks applications, O.G. Supply is proud to offer the first red rubber gasket to carry an NSF61 certification. PREDATOR 1330 red rubber gaskets are made from an NSF61 EPDM compound. Compared to SBR (traditional red rubber gasket material), EPDM offers many sealing advantages, including a wider temperature range, higher tensile strength, and a superior pressure by temperature (PxT) rating. For cathodic protection, PREDATOR 1330's dielectric strength was tested to ASTM D-149, registering at 510.5 volts/mil (20.1 kv/mm) - outperforming all known NSF61 EPDM gasket materials. PREDATOR 1330 gaskets are tabbed for convenience and have a cloth finish to prevent sticking to the flange upon removal. O.G. Supply strives to alleviate the cost of NSF61 gasketing, while maintaining the convenience of the red rubber gasket that operators are familiar with. For potable water applications, PREDATOR 1330 solves these problems.
