    Thank you to everyone who joined our dynamic, all-day Law & Ethics workshop, featuring inspiring talks from Dr. Andrew Khalil, PsyD, LMFT, APCC and Celisa Flores, PsyD, NCC! 🎉 We had a fantastic time as Dr. Khalil shared insights on setting ethical boundaries and navigating dual roles in therapy, and as Dr. Flores guided us through the exciting field of psychedelic-assisted therapy and its impact on trauma treatment. With 6 CEUs earned, lively discussions, and excellent networking opportunities, it was a day full of learning, connection, and community!     Join us for the last CEU opportunity of the year! Perfectionism in Therapy: Understanding Its Origins, Daily Impacts, and Effects on Interpersonal and Work Life Speaker: Jessica Vartanyan, PsyD, LMFT Date: November 15, 2024 Time: 11:30am - 1:30pm Check-in/Networking from 11:30am-12:00pm. Presentation begins at Noon. Note: The two networking opportunities at 30 minutes each do not count toward continuing education requirements. Target Audience: This course is designed for mental health professionals at an introductory level. Description: Learn how to identify and address perfectionism in therapy. This presentation will cover origins, daily impacts, and effects of perfectionism on interpersonal and work life. Dr. Jessica will also present evidence-based interventions and techniques, equipping attendees with advanced strategies for assessing and treating clients with perfectionism. About the Speaker: Dr. Jessica Vartanyan is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine, and earned both her M.A. and Psy.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University in Irvine, CA. With experience teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels as an adjunct lecturer, she now runs a private practice in Southern California. Dr. Jessica specializes in helping high-achieving adults overcome burnout, stress, imposter syndrome, and anxiety. She is dedicated to guiding overachievers in discovering their self-worth beyond their achievements and external expectations. Learning Objectives: By the end of the course participants will able to: 1. Identify and describe three different types of perfectionism and their characteristics. 2. Identify at least three signs and symptoms of perfectionism. 3. Identify at least four psychological, social, and environmental factors that contribute to the development of perfectionism. 4. Her workshop covers the ethical considerations of psychedelics in therapy, including their historical uses, brain impacts, and legal aspects, while also discussing current research in the field.
