About us
John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital is the regional center for comprehensive and state-of-the-art pediatric trauma, surgical and medical care, including neonatal, perinatal and obstetric services. Oishei Children’s Hospital is the only access point for pediatric critical care as the region’s only Level I Pediatric Trauma Center. It also serves as the only Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Western New York. The hospital enjoys a worldwide reputation for innovation and research while providing highly specialized care and treatment through a broad array of co-located outpatient services.

Congratulations to Jerrold Lerman MD, FRCPC, FANZCA, Vice President at Great Lakes Anesthesiology and Senior Anesthesiologist at Oishei Children's Hospital, for publishing the second edition of Neonatal Anesthesia! We are thrilled to share that our Marketing & Creative Team won two awards at the PRSA Buffalo Niagara Excalibur Awards last night! 🎉 The team graciously accepted a Bronze Award in the Video and Audio Programming category for the 2023 Festival of Trees Gala Intro Video and a Silver Award in the Video and Audio Programming category for the Oishei Children's Hospital x Josh Allen 2023 Season Marketing Campaign. Both projects were collaborated on by video partners Uplifter Video. The awards presented at the Buffalo Niagara PRSA Excalibur Awards are judged by public relations professionals at a different PRSA chapter in the country, ensuring unbiased review of work.
