On Tuesday, October 15th, members of the OCMA Student Development Committee had the privilege of presenting to Miami University students at various stages of their academic journey. The session was highly engaging, with insightful questions from students on topics ranging from career pathways in local government to collaborating with elected officials. A special thank you to Miami University for hosting us and for supporting our mission to advocate for the profession and inspire the next generation of local government leaders.

Congratulations to OCMA Board Member Kenneth Wilson for being named one of Central Ohio's Most Influential Men of Color.
He’s one of Central Ohio’s most admired executives… Kenneth Wilson has been the Franklin County Chief Administrator since he was appointed back in January 2015. As such, in reality he’s the CEO of Franklin County government. Wilson leads 14 county agencies with more than 1,400 employees and oversees the County’s annual $2.2 billion dollar budgeting process for 35 agencies to ensure that Franklin County remains one of the finest, best-governed counties in the nation. As the County Administrator he holds the highest unelected post in County government. Additionally, in all of America’s 3,900 counties, Kenneth is but only 1 of 4 African Americans to hold such a position.
