“Strengthening open data within territories”. Communication event and stakeholder meeting in France! 📆 The OD4GROWTH project goal is to help citizens in improving their well-being and quality of life. How? By improving the performance and availability of public services and create new solutions with open data. 💡 On August 29, 2024, Grand E-Nov +, the innovation & international business development agency for the Grand Est region, it carried out a stakeholder workshop with the purpose of informing the advances of the project and to invite guests that are interested in participating in the future. In the event it was carried out: ·      The presentation of the analysis of the stakeholders OD maturity diagnostics. ·      Stakeholders could see the similarities among their ambitions and problems. ·      Dissemination of news about OD and European good practices. ·      An expert showed how open data can boost attractiveness. The working group which is formed by: Local authorities and public authorities, were able to have a detailed discussion, and they were able to distinguish the skills and limitations of the players. Stakeholders aligned with the idea of developing open data capabilities, and that this facilitates building a vision, raising awareness of new services, developing open data-based projects. 📆 Exciting Communication Event and Stakeholders’ Meeting in Poland! 👥 On July 30, 2024, the Mazovia Development Agency hosted a communication event and stakeholders’ meeting for the OD4GROWTH project. The communication event kicked off with a presentation highlighting key information about the OD4GROWTH Project. It also served as a platform to showcase the project’s achievements so far and invite guests to participate in upcoming initiatives. Participants had the chance to learn about the project’s communication channels to stay up-to-date. Notably, the Piaseczno City and Commune Office, one of the stakeholders, presented their successful OD practice through the Mapy Piaseczno Portal. The stakeholders’ meeting and Local Technical Seminar began with a summary of semesters 2 and 3. Subsequently, participants received valuable information on identifying local practices and upcoming training opportunities. We are delighted to share news on our most recent OD4Growth stakeholders' meeting in Spain! 🌐 On July 3, 2024, key territorial actors met in Córdoba, Spain, to address challenges like varying levels of data completeness and the need for standardization to ensure uniformity and comparability across regions. This meeting served as a space to share updates and outline the next steps in our effort to enhance public services through open data and a major focus was on creating a catalog of good practices to guide municipalities in implementing open data initiatives. Additionally, we presented the overall training program provided by the project, and took up the request from our stakeholders to complement it with a more specialized training program based on case studies, tailored to the specific needs of local organizations. Shaping the Future with Data Governance! 📊🌟 The Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, homologous organization to FAMP, project partner in OD4GROWTH, has introduced a transformative Data Governance Ordinance for Local Entities! With the help of this creative framework, local governments can use data as a strategic asset that encourages accessibility, openness, and responsible reuse of public data. 💪🌐 With the broad legal framework this ordinance offers, municipalities can customize data management to meet their specific requirements while maintaining reliable and secure data handling. It sees data as a shared good, promoting fair usage and unrestricted access, and transforming it into an essential communal asset. It gives priority to the release of important data sets that improve decision-making and foster innovation, with an emphasis on high-value data publication. The ordinance also aligns with national and European standards, ensuring that public access to information is enhanced, fostering greater transparency and accountability. Enhancing Healthcare Coordination with Open Data 🚀💡 During the conference organized by “Filière Santé Numérique”, focusing on the theme "Using Territorial Data in Healthcare" we presented how "Open Data could be used as a Support for Healthcare Coordination in Territories". For example, it is very difficult for local authorities to map all the healthcare or medico-social professionals working in their area to guarantee all care pathways. We explained how in-depth exploration of local open data can be used to develop a dashboard tool that allows healthcare coordination actors to access information on healthcare professionals in their area. This has enabled the first beneficiary territories to organise the recruitment of the missing professionals improving by the way public services. The presentation aimed to identify new territories that would like to deploy the same type of solution. 🌍📊 Discussions during the event led to the identification of new beneficiaries and to get in touch with the National Health Agency (ARS). During a workshop scheduled for the 7th of June 2024, they confirmed their interest in the dashboard we developed for health coordinators using the open data database from the ANS🗓️. 🚀Developments in the OD4GROWTH Project!🌟 Liepaja recently held a productive meeting with stakeholders to review 3rd semester activities, including impactful workshops and training sessions that enhanced data literacy and engagement. Best practices from Liepaja, submitted for voting on the Interreg portal, were presented along with a comprehensive overview of successful practices from the project. The meeting featured a valuable discussion on these practices, with stakeholders providing feedback and suggestions for improvement. Updates on new Liepaja data sets available on the national open data portal, open.data.gov, were also highlighted. Strategies for enhancing stakeholder engagement in upcoming activities and events were discussed. Together, we are driving innovation and growth through open data.
