Meet Jason "JB" Burch, Odyssey’s Space Domain Awareness (SDA) Advisor for our Mission Integration Directorate (MID) work at Mission Delta 2 (MD2), Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado. JB stands out as a dedicated and innovative team member with Odyssey. JB’s role as SDA Advisor involves playing a critical role in enhancing our nation’s space situational awareness. He was initially brought on to support the Space Fence system delivery and revitalize the SDA Working Group where his focus shifted to managing the complex delivery of the Integrated Radar Operations Center (IROC). This effort, nearing completion after almost five years, will culminate in a cutting-edge Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) that integrates Space Fence, Eglin radar, and Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability (DARC) data to conduct intelligence-driven SDA operations. What makes JB an invaluable asset to the team is his problem-solving prowess, his dedication to excellence, his willingness to lend a helping hand and share his expertise but taking a step back being a continual learner. JB’s role provides the unique opportunity to connect diverse disciplines and organizations to deliver a critical capability.
