Ethereum Core Dev on the Prysm Team, Software Engineer @Offchainlabs, initial builders of @Arbitrum

This week, I did a presentation for the epf on validator architecture. Validator clients are key to ethereum protocol and perform the duties to secure the blockchain. To participate as a solo staker ( similar to a miner in Bitcoin) you need to run 3 softwares, a validator client , a beacon node, and an execution client. Running the 3 softwares with an activated validator key allows you to participate as an ethereum equivalent to a miner. In my video I discuss at a high level the software architecture for the validator client I work on. Project: https://lnkd.in/ex3_xTJr You can read about it here epf.wiki/#/eps/day20 and watch

Head of Tandem by Offchain Labs | investing and partnering with projects across the blockchain ecosystem | fmr Gemini, Palantir, Nasdaq

Tandem by Offchain Labs is proud to announce our partnership with and investment in Fhenix to advance confidential computation solutions for Ethereum. Fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) has long been considered the holy grail of cryptography, though it is powerful in theory, it is challenging to execute in practice. However, recent breakthroughs from Fhenix and Offchain Labs are actively changing that narrative, making FHE practical and accessible in a world that increasingly needs it. Together, we're focusing on two key objectives: -Advancing R&D to make FHE accessible beyond academic settings and into the hands of everyday developers. -Bringing robust FHE-based confidentiality to Arbitrum, Ethereum, and beyond. We believe in a future where privacy-preserving computation is available to anyone building on blockchain. This partnership represents a significant step toward making that vision reality. As onchain applications grow more sophisticated, the need for confidentiality has never been more apparent. Whether it be AI agents, complex financial derivatives, or something we haven’t even considered yet, FHE will undoubtedly unlock entirely new categories of applications that we have never seen before. We're committed to solving this challenge in ways that open new possibilities for builders everywhere. If you have ideas that you want to bring to life, contact Tandem today, and let's see how we can work together.

We’ve been in talks with Offchain Labs, the team behind Arbitrum and one of the most advanced teams in the crypto space, on how to solve encryption in Ethereum. Today, we’re excited to announce an investment by and partnership with Tandem by Offchain Labs to bring Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) to everyone, everywhere. FHE was once considered complex and slow, but recent advancements—faster schemes, GPU optimizations, and ultra-fast decryption networks—are making FHE a reality today. Why Fhenix + Offchain Labs? The Offchain Labs team has repeatedly shown they have the deep knowledge and execution needed to advance Ethereum and cryptography. Ed Felten, Harry Kalodner, and Steven Goldfeder designed the interactive fraud proofs for optimistic rollups that are currently scaling Ethereum. Victor Shoup, a legend in cryptography, co-designed the first FHE library (HElib) and has an extensive history of pioneering advancements in secure computation. Together, Offchain Labs and Fhenix are focused on: 1️⃣ Conducting R&D to make FHE—cryptography’s holy grail—ubiquitous and accessible. 2️⃣ Bringing FHE-based confidentiality to Arbitrum, Ethereum, and beyond. A confidential future for Ethereum is closer than ever. FHEels good, man… 🔒✨

Today, we’re joined by Emmanuel and 👨🔧 James He, who share their lessons from navigating tough challenges as Ethereum Core Developers and offer thoughtful advice to their younger selves. Hosted by David Chen—tune in now for an inside look at the world of Ethereum innovation!

  • Excited to reveal Onchain Labs! While we continue to innovate on scaling infrastructure, today, we’re also focused on empowering the Arbitrum application layer. We’ve generated many ideas for game-changing applications but recognize that we cannot build all of these ourselves. Through Onchain Labs, we’re dedicating resources to support developers who want to rapidly expand the application layer by ideating with them from the ground up, bringing the best user experiences to Arbitrum. There’s one thing that we won’t compromise on: Fair launches only. The extractive, zero-sum game that we’ve seen across crypto is simply not what this technology should be about. We believe in shared success and community alignment. Please note that Onchain Labs projects are experimental and can be very volatile. Users are encouraged to do their own research before purchasing any related tokens. The first projects will emerge from stealth soon. Talented teams looking for support can apply through our form. Excited to further contribute to the Arbitrum ecosystem. 🫡 Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eErA6bsz Apply here: https://lnkd.in/eAcPfv7U

  • We want a unified Ethereum and we’re making it happen. This means we want Ethereum to feel like one platform where anyone can have a seamless experience regardless of which EVM blockchain users are interacting with, and we believe the technology is there to make this a reality. Hear from our Co-Founder and Chief Scientist Ed Felten how the Universal Intents Engine can solve fragmentation and bring seamless UX experience to both Arbitrum and Ethereum blockchains.
