Customize your Arbitrum Orbit chain in ways beyond your imagination. - Use any ERC20 token as a custom gas token - Settle on Arbitrum, or Ethereum L2s - Adopt the latest tech like Stylus - Deploy on any L1 blockchain - Choose your DA like AnyTrust Your chain, your rules. Discover more about how you can craft and customize your own Orbit chain below: https://lnkd.in/eDnQayzn

Today Arbitrum One/Nova goes from EVM -> MultiVM. 𝗦𝘁𝘆𝗹𝘂𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲, introducing a WASM VM to both chains, allowing devs to write contracts in Rust, C, and C++ with full composability with the EVM. Almost 2 years in the making and of course, on Arbitrum day. In a nutshell, Stylus allows developers to do more. Things that were originally possible on Ethereum (or any EVM-based environment) are now possible on Arbitrum with Stylus. The EVM is the ceiling, not the floor. Improving smart contract development while maintaining the EVM is vital to our thesis at Offchain Labs. It’s the best way to keep the same great devs who love the EVM, while allowing them to experiment beyond what they’re used to. Even with Stylus live today, it is nowhere near its final form. You can expect to see more tooling and improvements to the core technology over time, alongside increased builder adoption and onboarding, which will benefit the entire Arbitrum ecosystem.

📢 Today, we're thrilled to introduce 15 new members to the Superstate Industry Council (SIC), a group of leading traditional and digital asset institutions dedicated to shaping our product roadmap and driving the adoption of tokenization in traditional financial services and capital markets. At Superstate, we're on a mission to modernize the infrastructure of traditional finance. With this mission in mind, the SIC aims to contribute to the development of our products, including our flagship treasury fund, USTB, and liquid crypto carry fund, USCC, all while championing the widespread adoption and development of tokenization across the industry. 👥 We welcome our second member cohort: ➕Arbelos MarketsAxelar FoundationCopper.coFlow TradersFlowdeskGeminiHidden RoadKbitLaser DigitalNoncoOffchain Labs ➕Republic Digital ➕Steakhouse FinancialWakem Capital ManagementXapo Bank Learn more about the SIC ⤵️ #superstateindustrycouncil #SIC #tokenization #superstatecrypto

Today we're sharing a roadmap of innovations you can expect from us in the year ahead! Including horizontal scaling, decentralized sequencing, ZK proofs, Stylus (MultiVM support), and more. As we set course for the upcoming year, we at Offchain Labs remain steadfast in one of our core values: Your Chain, Your Rules. We encourage everyone building with Arbitrum to be visionaries, to stay curious, and to move forward with confidence knowing the tech just works. Check out the full blogpost: https://lnkd.in/ertfukMK DevEx, UX, and Adoption Today, smart contracts are written in specialized languages designed for blockchain environments. - Stylus Stylus allows developers to program in languages that compile to WASM, like Rust, C, and C++. Stylus will be live on Arbitrum One on September 3rd. Decentralization The broader ethos of blockchain technology, which values decentralization and trustlessness, is core to our team at Offchain Labs and our future development plans for Arbitrum chains. - BoLD (H2 2024) - Censorship Timeout (H2 2024) - Decentralized Sequencer (likely 2025) Interoperability and Horizontal Scaling To unify the Arbitrum ecosystem (Arbitrum Orbit, Arbitrum One, Arbitrum Nova, and Ethereum) we're building towards frictionless interoperability between chains rooted in fast communication. - Fast Withdrawals (Q3 2024) - Chain Clusters (2025) Performance and Efficiency From the very beginning, back in 2014, Arbitrum’s design has focused on performance and efficiency. Now, we're looking to deliver the next iteration of enhancements in compute efficiency and performance with fundamental optimizations to execution. - Multi-client Support (H1 2025) - Adaptive Pricing (H1 2025) Zero Knowledge Proofs Offchain Labs is focused on scaling Ethereum with the best possible technology stack. While today it's clear that from the perspective of stability, maturity, cost, and security, Arbitrum Nitro is the best stack to scale Ethereum. Our research team has identified paths where we can incorporate productive uses of zero knowledge (ZK). - ZK+Optimistic Hybrid Proving At Offchain Labs we are committed to creating solutions before problems arise. We build our products for you to innovate with the assumption that your infrastructure just works. There is a lot more on the roadmap, but we wanted to share some of the mountains you’ll start to see moving in the near term.
