Yesterday, Congressman Earl Blumenauer (OR-3) introduced the Hospice Care Accountability, Reform, and Enforcement (CARE) Act. “'The Alliance shares Rep. Blumenauer’s desire to update the Medicare hospice benefit to address the evolving needs of our country’s aging population while ensuring the sustainability and integrity of the hospice program …' the organization indicated in a statement shared with Hospice News. 'The Alliance appreciates Rep. Blumenauer’s commitment to involving a diverse group of stakeholders in developing this legislation and will continue to work closely with congressional leaders on the finer points of the proposed bill to ensure that the final legislation supports the needs of patients, families and providers alike.'” Read more: https://lnkd.in/ep3V2nq5

I think some version of this picture has already been shared but I was reflecting on its significance. First of all, it’s incredible to have this many partners/friends in one place at the same time. We’re from all over the US. We represent companies and endeavors but we all center around a mission within the post acute space- we care about the people who care for people. And it’s so multifaceted- from EHR and pharmacy tech to consulting and EVV to marketing insights to revenue cycle management and making sure claims are paid. We each play a role in the end to end process of delivering care. And we care. During one of her motivational fireside chats, Lisa Von Lehmden challenged each person to be someone who cares with a #wecare campaign. Care isn’t something you can measure but it’s definitely something you can feel. So, if you’re wondering, here is a powerhouse of caring people.
