We were saddened to learn today of the passing of former Ohio House of Representatives Speaker Jo Ann Davidson at the age of 97. She is the first and only woman to lead a legislative chamber in Ohio, according to Gongwer. Davidson was an ardent supporter of #ohiohistory and was a transformative leader during her time in the legislature.

Along with many other Ohioans, we are mourning the loss of Curtis “Curt” Moody, founder and chairman of Moody Nolan, the largest African-American-owned and -managed architecture firm in the U.S. His story is an inspiration, and we celebrate his many accomplishments. We sat down with Curt just two years ago to create an oral record of his incredible story. This is a clip of Curt explaining how Moody Nolan became a national award-winning firm.
