Being able to look at the everyday and see with new eyes is key to innovation. Recently, our team in Washington did just that to solve a tough challenge for our customer, who needed to protect a 245-acre residential area from flooding.    At CRH one of our values is 'Innovation is Our Way Forward,' and our Cement, Infrastructure, and Materials teams worked together to reinvent how we use one of our most commonplace concrete products, the three-sided bridge, to meet the challenge.   The innovative solution meant installing the three-side bridge structures upside down to create a large BioPod system. The design resulted in a high capacity biofiltration system that removes sediment and dissolves pollutants as it collects and diverts the stormwater. This project is a blueprint for how we work: combining expertise, scale, and relationships to exceed our customers’ expectations.   #Solutions #Innovation #Infrastructure #Collaboration
