Earlier this month, members from our Research/Strategy and FP&A teams came together to support a great cause at Food Bank of the Rockies. A big shoutout to Thomas Flocco, Thomas Dean, Alex Gronewoller, David Loewenthal, Dan Hoffmann, and Kevin Kranz for their time and effort. Together, the team prepared 100 pallets of food, totaling 38,612 lbs., and created 32,023 meals for those in need. The Port of Brownsville - Texas recently received the first 50,000 tons of pig iron destined for the Steel Dynamics, Inc mill in Sinton, TX where it will be melted, converted to steel, and shaped into sheet or dimensional steel products.  The pig iron is first unloaded from the vessel and stockpiled and then a front-end loader fills the railcars for shipment.  Steel Dynamics partnered with the Port of Brownsville, Schaefer Stevedoring Inc, Brownsville & Rio Grande International Railway (BRG) and Union Pacific to manage the surface logistics.    #Brownsville #OmniTRAX #BRG #PortofBrownsville #SteelDynamics #RailTransport #Logistics

Last week, we were honored to attend the groundbreaking ceremony marking the commencement of Sika USA Corporation's state-of-the-art 250,000 sq. ft. mortar production plant in Bridgeton, New Jersey. This facility, set to start operations in late 2025, will be a cornerstone for Sika's expansion in the Northeast, producing a range of high-performance construction materials.
