Growing up with cystic fibrosis, Nick Di Brizzi refused to live life in the slow lane despite the challenges of his disease. But eventually his health caught up with him and a lung transplant became the only option. We had the pleasure of sitting down with Nick at the Transplant Games of America this summer to hear his story of overcoming the odds and living his best life post-transplant. We develop solutions to advance the science of transplant diagnostics and improve the patient journey.
About us
As part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, we develop and manufacture products and offer services to advance the science of transplant diagnostics. Our solutions and services help transplant labs and clinical teams provide personalized care across the patient experience. Dr. Paul Terasaki founded One Lambda™ in 1984 with the goal of developing tests to improve how laboratories match and monitor transplant recipients and donors. Since then, our HLA typing and antibody detection assays have been trusted by transplant laboratories worldwide. Clinicians also rely on data from our patient monitoring tests to make important decisions about post-transplant therapies. Transplantation is life-changing for recipients, and clinical diagnostics play a vital role in supporting all phases of treatment. Through our commitment to scientific innovation, product quality, patient advocacy, and excellent customer service, we are helping the transplant community raise the standard of care and improve outcomes for patients and their families. Last week our Training and Education team was at our Thermo Fisher Scientific Site in Darmstadt, Germany for our first European HLA Software Workshop. They were joined by 16 Customers and Channel Partners from around the European region for a deep dive into our One Lambda HLA Fusion 4.7 and One Lambda TypeStream Visual 3.1 software. During the week we explored real-world data sets and various case studies to further their understanding of how to interpret data sets and optimize efficiency within HLA labs. Thank you to everyone that joined us! For those of you that couldn’t make it, check out our 2025 schedule for all our virtual and in-person learning opportunities. #HLAandTransplant #EducationalPartners Learn More: http://spr.ly/6048StPzm

Meet Heather, Angela, and Jayden: three lives intertwined by the miracle of living kidney donation. As Heather, one of our own medical science liaisons, learned more about kidney transplants in the course of her work, she chose to sign up as an altruistic living donor and later to donate one of the vouchers afforded to her by the National Kidney Registry. Her selfless acts have brought hope and health to Angela and Jayden, proving that one person can make a world of difference. We’re excited to expand our collaboration with Devyser in seeking U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for our co-branded One Lambda™ Devyser Accept cfDNA NGS assay. This minimally invasive solution detects donor derived cell free DNA (dd-cfDNA) in kidney transplant patients and is currently CE-IVDR marked. Achieving FDA approval has the potential to expand access of this technology, with the aim of enabling clinicians to enhance surveillance and improve quality of life for the tens of thousands of Americans living with a kidney transplant.
We are collaborating with Thermo Fisher Scientific on obtaining FDA approval for One Lambda™ Devyser Accept cfDNA 🤝, our co-branded NGS solution for detecting donor-derived cell-free DNA (ddcfDNA) in blood samples from kidney-transplanted patients. This collaboration has the promise to improve U.S. post-transplant monitoring with the introduction of widely available non-invasive methods. As our CEO Fredrik Alpsten notes, “Securing FDA-approval for One Lambda Devyser Accept cfDNA has the potential to change how kidney transplant monitoring is done in the United States.” Once approved, this will be our first post-transplant monitoring product available in the U.S. market— a transformative step for kidney transplant care. Together, we're committed to bringing improved care options for the 150,000+ Americans living with a kidney transplant.💙 Read the Press Release here: https://lnkd.in/dGGVzk-g #Devyser #ThermoFisher #KidneyTransplant #TransplantCare #NGS #FDAApproval #HealthcareInnovation #cfDNA #TransplantMonitoring #MedicalAdvancements #USHealthcare
