Participants engaged in a robust exchange of ideas, delving into advanced strategies and best practices that address the unique challenges of pediatric donation and transplantation.   Our stage was graced by distinguished experts from some of the leading pediatric healthcare institutions, including CHOC Children's, CHOC at Mission Hospital, Dignity Health Dignity Health - Northridge Hospital Medical Center, Loma Linda University Children's Health, and OneLegacy. Their insights and expertise were invaluable, providing attendees with a deeper understanding of innovative approaches and emerging trends in the field.   We extend our deepest gratitude to all our healthcare partners who contributed to the success of this symposium. A busy day at the OneLegacy Azusa office, with the entire conference center bustling with OneLegacy staff, partners, surgeons, and representatives from our local transplant centers. In the first meeting room, we hosted the OrganOx Training session. Surgeons and representatives from Cedars-Sinai, Keck Medicine of USC, Loma Linda University Health, UC San Diego Health, and UCLA Health were in attendance. The whole group was able to join the OneLegacy team in the OR and check out all the of our equipment. At the second meeting room, OneLegacy is gathering a lot staff for our upcoming billboard campaign. Our goal is to highlight the dedicated work of our staff members. All the billboards will be posted all around the seven counties we serve! You may see one in your hometown. In the last meeting room, was Dr. Verble Workshop. A 2-day workshop dedicated to best practices in organ donation conversations. This workshop aims to equip Family Care Specialists with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively communicate the importance and nuances of organ donation for the families we serve. #OneLegacy #SavingLives #Organdonation #transplants

We are delighted to announce the success of OneLegacy's Symposium, “Collaboration in Care: Embracing Families Through a Holistic Approach to Donation.”    Our hospital partners gathered at the OneLegacy Azusa Transplant Recovery Center for a transformative experience. Our Family Care Team provided an in-depth look into the donation process, showcasing our Family Approach process. Over 300 participants had the unique opportunity to observe and engage in a Family Approach Simulation, enhancing their practical skills through immersive education.    We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the healthcare professionals, researchers, and advocates who joined us. 📚Empowering Young Minds: Ambassadors to High School Training was a Success! 📚 Thrilled to share the success of our Ambassador to High School training! Partnering with our Community Outreach team, we aimed to empower ambassadors to educate high schoolers on organ, eye, and tissue donation decisions when applying for their license. Throughout the training, ambassadors gained a deep understanding of donation processes, impact on lives, and effective and engaging communication strategies. Now equipped with knowledge and passion, our ambassadors are ready to make a difference by engaging with high school students and encouraging donation consideration before receiving licenses. By reaching young minds and fostering compassion, we are building a brighter, healthier future for our communities. Today, OneLegacy hosted a General Staff Meeting at our conference center in Azusa, CA where we invited TEDx speaker, Dan Trommater, Magician and Keynote Speaker, to help expand our perspective and way of thinking. With the theme of "Getting Unstuck: We've Always Done It That Way", we worked through some practical exercises and techniques to question the status quo and increase our capacity for creative solutions to today's challenges. A culture of reinvesting into our staff and leadership is one of the many reasons why OneLegacy is the employer of choice for nearly 500 individuals committed to the mission of saving and healing lives through organ, eye and tissue donation. #OneLegacy
