OneMain hosted our third annual National Get Smart About Credit Day event, and our team volunteers engaged over 500 students nationwide to teach the importance of starting healthy credit habits early in life. Using the Credit Worthy by OneMain Financial® curriculum, teenagers learned about credit scores, loan and credit card terms, and why building and maintaining credit are life skills that can affect buying or renting a home, purchasing a car, qualifying for student loans, or even getting a job.     OneMain provides free financial education through free digital courses. OneMain Financial kicked off Hispanic Heritage Month with a Day of Inclusion virtual event featuring Juan Proaño, the CEO of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC UTD), the nation’s largest and oldest Hispanic organization. The event celebrated Hispanic culture and traditions, and amplified LULAC’s national theme for 2024, “Pioneers of Change: Shaping the Future Together.” We also hosted a panel discussion with team members who shared how their Hispanic heritage has influenced their careers and personal journeys. Food insecurity challenges millions nationwide, and at OneMain, we’re committed to being part of the solution.    This #HungerActionMonth, #TeamOneMain is joining Feeding America to fight hunger by volunteering in our communities and organizing food drives to provide nutritious meals to those in need. We're contributing $100,000 in grants to Feeding America food banks in our corporate office communities.   Plus, we’re matching $2 for every $1 our team members donate to Feeding America and network food banks. This is just one more way to bring awareness to food insecurity and ensure families across the country have access to the food they need to thrive.
