The Dallas PA Meetup is where the #PeopleAnalytics people hang out! A huge thank you to Jordan Hartley, Adele Malpert Leslie, and the DFW community for putting on an incredible meetup. Meetups always remind me of how vibrant, diverse, and exciting this field can be. There's something important to spending time with peers who are excited as you are about our space. Especially when you get to chat with students who are taking #PeopleAnalytics coursework too! And on that, a huge thank you to George Benson & Hanbo Shim for hosting at the beautiful UT Arlington campus. I loved hearing about the school's history of teaching HR metrics and Analytics courses since 2008! To quote Dr. George Benson "I was reaching People Analytics before it was cool" and Dr. Hanbo Shin has taken it to a new level with simulated data sets. If you're teaching PA coursework - reach out to Professor Hanbo to learn more! And to that quote, it does feel cool now! Nearly 100 people from all sorts of backgrounds getting together to learn, share, connect, and laugh on this topic of helping organizations make people decisions. I was able to catch so many people that I was "LinkedIn friends" with before and we are officially "real-life" friends now 😁. Ashanti Moore, Emily Woodhall, Nick Jarema, CFA, CAIA, Kailey McNutt, MBA, Cory Heflin and so many more! 🛑 As a takeaway - support your local meetup this Fall season!
