Life is busy, and finding time to exercise during the workweek can be challenging. Weekend warriors are people who predominately exercise over the weekend. Whether from work or family responsibilities, is exercising only on the weekends enough to stave off health issues like Parkinson's, stroke, and dementia, as well as improve mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression? Experts say yes. While we wholeheartedly recommend exercising regularly, even for short periods, for those who can't, knowing that significant benefits come from being a weekend warrior is encouraging.
