About us
Open Doors’ mission is to ensure that homes will always be available for those exiting homelessness. We strive to be the catalyst for a system change in how Atlanta approaches homelessness. Open Doors is the bridge connecting property owners and management companies to the direct service non-profits providing case management. Over the past seven years Open Doors has connected over 7,500 individuals, families, and veterans to affordable, long-term housing by lowering barriers to finding and securing rental units.

Georgia State University Law student Liz Harding founded Southern Legal Center for Youth (SCLY), the first legal aid organization providing free legal support for young people experiencing homelessness. They also recently received a $35,000 grant from the Georgia Bar Foundation to launch a Youth Homelessness Program, which is already helping young people navigate issues from housing to identity theft.
