Details volgen snel.

Why are we so invested in Credo? Credo (hosted under the OpenWallet Foundation) has evolved over the years to a modern and modular TypeScript framework you can use to build relying parties, issuers, and identity wallets with different tech stacks. It's honestly a real joy to work with as a developer, both in terms of usability and it's features. The framework is compliant and interoperable with identity standards across the world. Credo is agnostic to any specific exchange protocol, credential format, signature suite, or did method. If you want to build something with Credo, or are already and require some assistance, don't hesitate to reach out to us! The repo: https://lnkd.in/gMgV_TrB

Did you know that Farmworker Wallet OS was formed in partnership with the OpenWallet Foundation? We applied to work with OWF because: ▪️ Our cornerstone tech is a Mendix-enabled digital wallet. That means interoperability and working with open standard frameworks has always been and continues to be a priority — and we can learn from OWF's best practices and standards. ▪️ We think there's huge potential in combining the interests of OWF and Mendix communities to drive further adoption and usage of interoperable, secure, and privacy-preserving digital wallets. ▪️ The Mendix digital wallet engine was created for maximum social innovation. By making these resources available to the OWF network, we hope to facilitate a significant and broad social impact. ...and we're just getting started. We're currently working to support the High Assurance Interoperability Profile (HAIP) in Credo. Why is that important for digital identity in 2024? 👇 Credo (https://lnkd.in/gMgV_TrB) is a TypeScript framework for building decentralized identity solutions that aims to be compliant and interoperable with identity standards across the world. 🌐🤝 It is hosted under the OpenWallet Foundation and can be used to build identity wallets, issuers, and/or verifiers. Its main features are the developer experience and its quick adoption of upcoming standards. HAIP (https://lnkd.in/g3TvvrFk) is an interoperability profile that defines a set of requirements to enable interop between Issuers, Wallets, and Verifiers. It builds on OpenID for Verifiable Credentials in combination with the credential format SD-JWT VC, which is also the base of the current EU Architecture Reference Framework (ARF). Supporting HAIP in Credo will make it much easier to build identity solutions that are compliant with EU standards and protocols! As we're also working on supporting mDL, now is the perfect time to look into Credo for your wallet, issuer, or verifier. The main work items and expected delivery dates are as follows: ✅ Work item 1: Token Status List - June 2024 🚧 Work item 2: Credo OpenID4VC modules - July 2024 🚧 Work item 3: Support for X.509 certificate chain verification - August 2024 Work item 4: HAIP-specific functionality in Credo - August/September 2024

At #DICE 2024 Federal Chancellor Beat Jans spoke about the Swiss eID project and said this about us: This […] will be accompanied by an effort to make smartphones in general more trustworthy. For obvious reasons, this is task that Switzerland cannot tackle on its own, vis-à-vis Apple, Samsung etc. For that reason, we have joined forces with the OpenWallet Foundation which is part of the The Linux Foundation. My colleague, Federal Counselor Albert Rösti has announced, only a few days ago at the World Summit on Information Society, that in addition to the OpenWallet Foundation, a OpenWallet Forum shall be created. This Forum shall be hosted by the International Telecommunication Union and allow a multilateral approach to issues such as the regulation of crypto-processors. From a digital sovereignty point of view, it is clear: all smartphones need to be equipped with a crypto-processor and these crypto-processors need to become open hardware. I know that this will not happen overnight, but we have to start working on this, otherwise, our credibility will fade. https://lnkd.in/gy_xTwU5

Earlier this month, the OpenWallet Foundation hosted a pair of AMAs (Ask-Me-Anything) with Kristina Yasuda from SPRIND and Oliver Terbu from MATTR on the "Technical Standards Underpinning ARF". Both sessions were great thanks to our presenters and attendees. The videos of the two AMAs can be found on the OpenWallet Foundation YouTube channel and here on this blog post: https://hubs.la/Q02D9wlh0
