Enabling High Performance Computing since 1997

About us

The OpenMP ARB mission is to standardize directive-based multi-language high-level parallelism that is performant, productive and portable. Jointly defined by a group of major computer hardware and software vendors and major parallel computing user facilities, the OpenMP API is a portable, scalable model that gives shared-memory parallel programmers a simple and flexible interface for developing parallel applications on platforms ranging from embedded systems and accelerator devices to multicore systems and shared-memory systems. The OpenMP ARB owns the OpenMP brand, oversees the OpenMP specification and produces and approves new versions of the specification. The ARB is composed of permanent and auxiliary members. Permanent members are vendors who have a long-term interest in creating products for OpenMP. Auxiliary members are normally organizations with an interest in the standard but that do not create or sell OpenMP products. Contact the ARB at the e-mail address info AT openmp.org to submit questions about membership, business issues, and the like. All other questions about the OpenMP API should be directed through the User Forums.

  • Enjoy these back-to-back workshops on March 7, focusing on techniques for speeding up scientific computing.

We all want our calculations to be faster. But as a developer, how do you actually achieve that? When you’re developing molecular simulation programs or analyzing large datasets making your code run faster often comes down to better parallelization and efficient hardware use. That’s why MolSSI and Intel Software are hosting back-to-back workshops on March 7, focusing on techniques for speeding up scientific computing. This workshop will be led by MolSSI Software Scientist and Certified Intel Instructor Mohammad Mostafanejad and will include a practical molecular science example from the software package NWChem! 🔥 Introduction to Intel® Tiber™ AI Cloud and oneAPI 📅 Mar. 7, 12:00 – 13:00 ET A hands-on introduction to Intel’s oneAPI ecosystem and Tiber™ AI Cloud, covering available hardware, software, and educational resources. We’ll even walk through a real-world AI application running in Jupyter Lab. This workshop is recommended for those attending the second workshop below, but are not familiar with Tiber AI Cloud. 🚀 Basics of Accelerated Computing with Intel OpenMP GPU Offload 📅 Mar. 7, 13:00 – 17:00 ET A deep dive into OpenMP GPU offloading, including best practices, data management, and a real-world case study on optimizing NWChem for high-performance tasks. Both workshops are free of charge, virtual, and hands-on, making them a great opportunity to build practical skills. Read more and register on our website! I have now proved, with the #AMD Next-Generation #Fortran compiler, that you can write Fortran code with OpenMP off-load directives that compiles and executes correctly both on AMD Mi300x #GPUs and on #Nvidia GPUs (using the Nvidia HPC toolkit Fortran compiler). https://lnkd.in/ezXXgFdn
