It’s a wrap on AllDayDevOps’ 24 hours of live-streamed content hosted by Sonatype! The good news is that all sessions are now available on demand.
I had the privilege of joining three fantastic panels of experts to explore the recent "trifecta" of research into open source usage, security, and maintainers.
First, in the keynote session, A Decade of Transformation: Unveiling the 10th Annual State of the Software Supply Chain Report, I teamed up with Jonathan Meadows of Citi, Christopher Robinson from OpenSSF, and Georg Link, PhD of CHAOSS to dive into this year’s findings and discuss their far-reaching implications for the ecosystem and enterprises alike.
Next, in Open Source in Financial Services: Balancing Innovation and Security in a Highly Regulated Industry, I was joined by Tosha Ellison from FINOS. We explored the key takeaways from their latest report and how greater collaboration within the financial sector is improving security for all of us (since, after all, we’re all customers of banks).
Finally, Donald Fischer from Tidelift and I compared notes in Open Source Workforce: The State of Maintainers, where we delved into recent data from an open source maintainer’s perspective, highlighting a path toward better outcomes for projects and their users.
