The CAN Data Science Fellowship 2024 for emerging data science professionals. The fellowship includes practical project work, media training, and opportunities for fellows to present their work at local, regional, and international events. Requirements Applicants should have a completed first university degree, capacity for independent academic research and study, at least three years of working experience in data management, analysis, and visualization, good communication skills, strong expertise in technology and data science, and a working knowledge of African country contexts concerning climate and health. This is a full-time position starting in October 2024 and ending in March 2025. Candidates must have successfully completed a first university degree, and demonstrate a capacity to undertake independent advanced academic research and study. Candidates must have 3 years working experience in data management, analysis and visualization. Candidates must have good communication skills and possess good quantitative and/or qualitative analytical skills. Candidates must have strong expertise in technology, systems development, big data, open data and data science. Benefits Fellows will receive a monthly stipend and are expected to be physically present within the government department or SIO office during the assignment period. The training will take place in Cotonou.
