  • We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of De pintor a empresario: pinta tu futuro! This five-week program, developed in collaboration with Sherwin-Williams and the Orange County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, was designed to empower Spanish-speaking painters to turn their skills into thriving businesses. With the painting industry facing labor shortages and with more than 60% of the workforce being Spanish-speaking, this initiative is essential in preparing the next generation of professionals. Participants received comprehensive support, including expert guidance on business planning, marketing, finance, and building a strong digital footprint. Graduates walked away with a business plan and invaluable insights that set them up for long-term success. We would like to extend our gratitude to OCIE SBDC Network Director Mike Daniel for his vision and support and CSUF SBDC Director Manal Richa and business consultants Natalie Murphy Córdova and Angela Polito for their management of the program. We would also like to thank Freddy Carrillo, Belinda Zamora, and Jesus Mendez from Sherwin Williams and Sylvia Pizarroso, representing both the OCHCC and the OCIE SBDC Finance Center, for their valued partnership and support. We are proud to be part of an initiative that not only addresses industry challenges but also fosters community growth. Together, we’re painting a brighter future for entrepreneurs!
