Today we uncrated something fresh -- a new look for a new approach to what we do. Our new logo was inspired by our 100 Year Celebration design, which we used throughout 2023. Now, as we wind down our 100th year, we'll begin using this logo to represent our brand and our promise to enrich the lives of those we serve. You'll start seeing it on library communications beginning October 1.

Meet Kali Anthony, Branch Outreach Specialist 👋 Hi there! My name is Kali Anthony and I am the Outreach Specialist for Alafaya Branch. As a former “library kid” myself, I am incredibly passionate about the library and all the amazing services we provide. I spent every summer of my childhood learning and growing at my local library and knew all the employees by name. It’s been a total full circle moment for me to be able to facilitate engaging experiences for children and families in our community through library outreach. When I’m not hosting trivia with seniors, providing a pop-up library, executing a STEM challenge or visiting local schools with a storytime, you can find me hunting down records for my vinyl collection, exploring national parks with my partner, trying to perfect a new recipe or cuddling with my cat, Meeko. Getting to connect with our community over the past year in this role has been such a gift. I love getting to hear your stories about how the library has impacted you. I believe that libraries are cornerstones of our communities, and I love helping folks figure out which service, class, program or material can benefit them the most. Keep an eye out for me in east Orlando … I’ll meet you there! 📍

Meet Natasha Rosa, Branch Outreach Specialist 👋 Hello, everyone! I’m Natasha, and I’ve been part of the OCLS team for over five years. In March 2023, I started an exciting new journey as an Outreach Specialist, serving the wonderful residents of North Orange. In this role, I’ve had the chance to dive into what our community needs and loves. This has led me to organize fun bilingual events for kids and host events to boost literacy and academic support for all ages. I’ve created bilingual content to help young native Spanish speakers learn English vocabulary and teamed up with local hospitals to provide essential resources for families and children in a warm and welcoming environment. The best part of my job? Meeting you and hearing your stories. Your experiences and the positive impact of our programs inspire me every day. See you soon!
