    Today Orbia released its 16th annual Impact Report, which provides an in-depth look at the many ways Orbia has fulfilled its purpose to advance life around the world. Some of our key advances on our environmental and impact goals from 2024 include: • Increasing the percentage of Orbia revenues that contribute to the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals to 67% from 65% in 2023 • Increasing the percentage of sites sending zero waste to landfill to 89% from 71% in 2023 • Expanding on-site renewable energy consumption by 16% compared to 2023 • Launching Time4Water, Orbia’s first global volunteering campaign focused on promoting water stewardship with ~120 activities worldwide • Furthering circularity and decarbonization initiatives in every business, expanding bio-based PVC offerings, launching a water replenishment partnership with Microsoft and introducing lower global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants and propellants Read the full Impact Report here: https://lnkd.in/d-M_8azn   #OrbiaImpactReport #WeAreOrbia #WherePurposeComestoLife #Sustainability

    In 2024, each of Orbia’s businesses created initiatives to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon, circular economy. • Polymer Solutions expanded its Vinyl in Motion PVC plastic recycling program to new countries. • Building & Infrastructure launched 100% circular attenuation and infiltration tanks for low-carbon and low-impact stormwater management. • Precision Agriculture launched an all-in-one irrigation operating system to help farmers save resources like water and energy. • Connectivity Solutions advanced the ECO product line to reduce the environmental footprint of telecommunications infrastructure. • Fluor & Energy Materials continued implementing its hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) recycling program at our Mihara plant in Japan. Through this program, we recovered 829 tons of refrigerants in 2024.     Orbia recently released its 2024 Impact Report, covering the company’s milestones over the past year and progress toward sustainability goals.     Today, Orbia has announced a long-term partnership with The Supreme Industries Ltd, India’s largest plastic pipe manufacturer. Supreme will acquire Orbia’s Building & Infrastructure business Wavin’s pipes and fittings business in India and will have exclusive access to Orbia’s leading water management technologies. This strategic initiative will expand Supreme’s leadership position, extend Orbia’s customer reach through technology and accelerate the robust growth of India’s building and infrastructure industry.     World Water Day is coming up on March 22! At Orbia, we are launching our Time4Water volunteering campaign for the second year throughout the month of March. Last year, more than 10% of Orbia’s global workforce participated in 120 different activities to protect our most essential resource for life on earth: water.

    The construction sector is finding new ways to increase sustainability by incorporating bio-based and circular products. Orbia’s Building & Infrastructure business Wavin contributed to a project in Sittard in the Netherlands to make 90% bio-based homes with developer Tala. Orbia’s bio-based Ventiza air distribution system was used, which achieves a CO2 reduction of more than 75% compared to traditional PVC production. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eRBshzxZ
