Oregon Agricultural Trust partners with farmers and ranchers to protect and pass on their land to future generations.
About us
OAT is an agricultural land trust that works collaboratively around the state to safeguard Oregon’s farm and ranch lands and the rural communities that depend upon them. We permanently protect agricultural land, help it stay in production, educate our community, and help advocate for farmland preservation. OAT preserves ag land mainly through donation and purchase of working land easements — voluntary agreements between a land trust and a landowner to remove development rights that interfere with farming and ranching. We also educate farmers, ranchers, attorneys, and the public about why and how to preserve farmland and plan for succession. We work with our peers to increase ag land preservation statewide. And we collaborate on advocacy.

Rose petals, organic strawberries, Oregon-grown coriander, tayberries, and spruce tips! Hops ranging from Citra, Cascade, Strata, Mosaic, Nugget, and many more! Spontaneous fermentation and aging in amphorae, dedicated non-alcoholic brewing, and traditional craft beer practices! We partnered with 15 craft beverage producers and asked them to showcase Oregon-grown ingredients in new products for Cheers to the Land. They drew from the incredible bounty of Oregon farms to create beer, non-alcoholic beer, cider, and kombucha. To find out more about each brew, visit https://lnkd.in/gunFnUd3 We created Cheers to the Land to bring awareness to our work of permanently protecting agricultural land from development and facilitating its transition to future generations, including new and diverse farmers and ranchers. Let's raise a glass to farmers and craft brewers who work hard to produce incredible products in-and-of Oregon!

We are really excited that Roaming Nobles Brewing Co is part of Cheers to the Land this year. A dedicated non-alcoholic brewery, they created a piney and resinous IPA, with notes of dark berry and featuring local hops from Roy Farms. Fun facts about Roaming Nobles: 🍺 Roaming Nobles is the first dedicated non-alcoholic brewery in Oregon! 🍺 They brew just like traditional craft beer, with all the same equipment and ingredients. 🍺 They do not use preservatives and they pasteurize so their beer is safe & shelf stable. 🍺 They use digitally printed cans and compostable toppers (you can throw them in your green bin)! You can find their delicious Cheers to the Land beer at local stores around the state! https://lnkd.in/gDbHfjF7 (link in bio as well)

"Beer, especially craft beer, is an agricultural product. Maintaining a healthy agricultural community is vital to our ability to keep diversity in our recipes, which keeps diversity in your tap lists." In our latest blog post, Block 15 Brewing Company head brewer Garrison Schmidt shares his thoughts on sustainability, how they support farmers, and his favorite Oregon-grown ingredients for making beer (can you guess?!) https://lnkd.in/geDfXtnz
