Beverage trends to inspire your menu from Emra Nation
Did you know that if you offer three beverages that are three different colors, you will sell more than if you offer three beverages that are all a similar color? As a fruited beverage expert, I can tell you that where beverages are concerned, second only to flavor, color is the most important things to consider when putting together a compelling beverage menu. Not only is it more eye-catching to consumers, but it allows them an opportunity for low-grade self-expression. In the past couple of years, watermelon has been the light pink fruit of the season. Well, I'm starting to see the tides change a little. While I think watermelon will have another big summer in 2025, there are a couple other pink fruits that are poised for enormous growth: Pink Guava and Prickly Pear. I've put together some basic information about these two exotic fruits along with some ideas for how to use them. I don't think I'd ever spend the money on an at-home slushie maker, nor would I want to store it, but there are a lot of people out there who do. In fact, sales on at-home slushie makers are up overall. For restaurant operators, this should indicate that the frozen beverage category isn't going anywhere but up. While sales on at-home machines are increasing, most Americans aren't going to purchase one. That means there's a ton of opportunity for restaurants who offer frozen beverages. Given than nearly a quarter of Americans will order a beverage as a snack between meals, there's a compelling story to be told for the benefits of offering a variety of cold beverages and including frozen beverages on the menu. #frozenbeverage #beveragetrends #slushies #beveragemenu #fruitforbeverage
