We’re proud to share that Orijin™ was featured in the Bledsonian-Banner for our impactful work at Bledsoe County Detention Center. Through our partnership with the Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development, we've provided incarcerated individuals in 105 jails with access to free education and workforce development. At Bledsoe County alone, learners logged nearly 44,000 hours and earned 445 certificates. From a tech enthusiast to an aspiring entrepreneur, Ronnell's journey is nothing short of inspiring. Despite the challenges of incarceration, his passion for learning never wavered. With sheer dedication and support from Orijin's managed learning platform, he earned his GED and is now pursuing higher education, with dreams of opening his own restaurant. Unfortunately, long waitlists for GED programs continue to be a challenge for too many justice-impacted individuals. From tinkering with household appliances, and gaming systems, Ronnell's passion for understanding how things work has always driven him. Now incarcerated at the DC Department of Corrections, his love for technology learning has persisted.
