“I’m doing really well because I got this job after earning my certification in jail.” This powerful moment is what drives Nichole Stark, Assistant Jail Commander at Hancock County Jail, to continue her work. It’s a reminder that real transformation is possible—and that education and skills development are often the key. Nichole shares the pride she feels when she encounters formerly incarcerated individuals in the community, empowered by Orijin, who have turned their lives around. With Orijin’s managed learning platform, Hancock County Jail learners are earning GEDs, gaining certifications, and preparing for careers—giving them renewed hope for a better future. As Nichole says, “It gives them a sense of purpose and hope for when they get out.” But the impact doesn’t stop there. Nichole has also seen improvements in behavior and safety within the facility, as learners stay focused and engaged. “The tablets and education programs have created a positive shift, not only for the learners but also for staff.” Read her full story here: https://lnkd.in/gNB9_BWC #SecondChances #JusticeImpacted #WorkforceDevelopment #Corrections #OrijinEdTech
