Last month, Fellows gathered for Issues at the cORRe, a new discussion based initiative that started this spring. Orr’s Director of DEI, Janet Lovera, created Issues at the cORRe “as a space for Fellows to come together and build community in our shared experiences and unique perspectives." Each month, Fellows dive into different topics that are relevant in their lives, like stress management, bringing your whole self to the workplace, and other aspects of navigating the transition from college to career.
This month’s topic was “Dealing with Stress." Fellows were invited to share their personal experiences and learn about stress management techniques. First Year, Angel Prince, shared his thoughts: “As an early career professional, having a collaborative safe space to talk about life stressors is beyond beneficial for inclusion and building a support network. Listening to stories about how other Orr Fellows cope with stress has provided me with a new perspective when talking about how stress impacts my daily life."
Fellows are looking forward to this month's Issues at the cORRe, focusing on "Managing Work Life Balance".
