Olympic Gold Medalist, World Champion, Three-Time Olympian – Laura Wilkinson recently added another title to her impressive resume: NBC TV play-by-play diving analyst at the Summer Olympics in Paris. Laura is also a former Orthofix patient. While training in 2018 for what she hoped would be her fourth Olympic Games, Laura was diagnosed with cervical disc degeneration and needed a spinal fusion. She had a successful ACDF surgery using an Orthofix cervical plate system in combination with Trinity ELITE™ allograft to aid in bone fusion, and she wore a CervicalStim™ Device to stimulate bone growth during her recovery. Laura, also known as “The Comeback Kid” following her famous come-from-behind Gold Medal win in 2000, then continued on her mission to compete at the Olympics in 2020.
