We are looking for outstanding educators to join our team starting with the 2024-25 school year! This job fair is an opportunity to be considered for an interview with a team of district leaders. To participate, a valid and appropriate Washington state certificate is required before the first day of the 2024-25 school year. For Education Support Professionals Week, we are highlighting some of our fantastic classified staff. Today, we have a spotlight on one of our Computer Technicians, Wayne Parr! "Wayne does outstanding work for our Technology Department. One of Wayne's remarkable achievements has been his role in guiding STEM students in creating a drone for a school competition," Matt Hundven, Director of Technology, shared. "His guidance and support have not only helped students develop valuable skills in engineering and technology but also instilled in them a sense of confidence and accomplishment. Wayne's commitment to excellence and his ability to inspire and motivate students are truly commendable. His efforts have significantly contributed to the success of our tech department and the overall academic growth of our students. "Ericka is a fantastic team player that joined our Nutrition Service's Team at Orting Middle School this year after serving many years in our Orting Elementary School's kitchen," Director of Nutrition Services Cassie Cornelius shares. "Ericka is known in our department for her hard work, and fun personality. She is kind and positive to both our students and staff, and is willing to jump in with both feet wherever we need her!" For Education Support Professionals Week, we are highlighting some of our fantastic classified staff. Today, we have the spotlight on our mechanic in our Transportation Department, Anthony Conger. "Anthony is more than our mechanic in the Transportation Department. He is a jack-of-all-trades and is willing to jump in and help when he is needed," Megan Gentili, our Director of Transportation, shared. "Not only does he do an excellent job of servicing our fleet of buses, vans and maintenance trucks, Anthony also steps in as dispatch, bus driver and traffic control. He rescues drivers when they break down and continuously takes care of all the little things we need done on a daily basis. He makes a great Santa too! We appreciate you Anthony!"
