Osage LLC was established by the Osage Nation in 2008, to build economic prosperity for the Nation and its people. After assuming operation of the Ranch at Chief Standing Bear’s request in October 2021, Osage LLC dramatically improved production, resulting in profitability and a healthy cash position.  However, in 2022, the Nation began operating an additional venture alongside the for-profit Ranch operation, causing duplication, confusion and conflict regarding management of the Ranch property. Due to the continued interference and conflict of interest, the board has determined that it is not practical to operate the Ranch profitably under current circumstances.  As such, on September 28, Osage LLC vacated the leases on the Osage Nation Ranch and Lost Creek and asked the Congress to appoint a new Ranch Board to govern operations or allow for Osage LLC to liquidate its cattle and return the Nation’s investment and all associated proceeds (estimated to be $5-6.5 million) to Osage Nation Congress.

Today, the Osage Nation joined the Osage, LLC, Oklahoma State University, and Tulsa Innovation Labs to welcome the Economic Development Administration's (EDA) Acting Assistant Secretary of Commerce and Economic Development Cristina Killingsworth and her team to the Osage Nation Reservation. The visit included a site visit to the Skyway36 Droneport and Technology Innovation Center, which was awarded a $2.1 million grant from the EDA and is currently under construction. Skyway36 Droneport and Technology Innovation Center is the ideal location for flight testing all UAS and AAM technologies modes. Strategically situated within Osage Nation, less than 5 miles from downtown Tulsa and 10 miles from Tulsa International Airport, Skyway36 provides a unique combination of urban cityscape and rural environments. It is the primary access point to Skyway Range, the Beyond-Visual-Line-of-Sight UAS flight test range of 1,200 square miles built in partnership with Osage LLC, Oklahoma State University, and Tulsa Innovation Labs.
