Last week, members of the Osceola County Corrections Department attended the Florida Police Accreditation Conference, where the agency officially was granted reaccreditation by the Florida Corrections Accreditation Commission (FCAC). The agency once again received the Excelsior Recognition. Only those agencies that have been awarded five successful reaccreditation cycles by the Commission receive this notable achievement. Additionally, the agency received its first Pretrial and Probation Accreditation, making it one of only nine agencies statewide to achieve this accomplishment.

Early this year, the National Science Foundation (NSF) designated Central Florida as one of 10 NSF Regional Innovation Engines, named the NSF Central Florida Semiconductor Innovation Engine. At BRIDG, we are thrilled to guide this groundbreaking initiative committed to furthering the research and workforce goals set forth by NSF and our partners. Thank you to NSF for your vision and the strong support of the Congress and White House to make this possible! By bringing together Central Florida research institutions, local government, nonprofits, and economic and workforce development partners, Osceola County is playing a pivotal role in the #reshoring of the #semiconductor manufacturing and advanced packaging industry. Further, we are matching that innovation with available workforce training programs from the certificate level to advanced degrees that serve the local community in long-term job and career aspirations. The #innovation taking place at NeoCityFL is joined in leadership by our partners Osceola County Government, University of Central Florida, Valencia College, the Florida High Tech Corridor, imec USA, CareerSource Central Florida, Orlando Economic Partnership, and University of Florida ECE Florida.
