Treating Disease with Neurotechnology
About us
Oscillo Biosciences is a pre-commercial biotech company developing medical devices and digital therapeutic platforms to treat serious neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's Disease, Parkinson's, aphasia, dyslexia and others. More than 6 million Americans suffer from dementia due to Alzheimer’s disease, and the incidence is rising at an alarming rate. Alzheimer’s disease is the 5th leading cause of death among Americans age 65 and older. Among the top 10 causes of death, it is the only one for which there is no known cure. Our approach is predicated on the understanding that brain rhythms supporting memory and cognition are disrupted in people with Alzheimer’s disease. Recent studies have proven that stimulating brain waves at specific frequencies can bring about changes at the molecular level, diminishing brain plaques, untangling neural networks, and improving memory and cognition. We are currently developing a prescription medical device and digital therapeutic that work together to restore healthy brain function in patients with Mild Cognitive Impairment and Alzheimer’s disease.

Happy International Women's Day! Today we honor the remarkable achievements and contributions of women worldwide. It's a day to recognize their resilience, strength and unwavering spirit on the march toward equality. Sadly, Alzheimer’s disease is blind to gender equality, disproportionately affecting women, who represent almost two-thirds of patients and the majority of caregivers. Oscillo is developing a neurotechnology therapeutic that doesn’t discriminate. We are working toward a world where both women and men can age with dignity and without the heartbreak and burdens of cognitive decline. #InternationalWomensDay #AlzheimersDisease #DigitalTherapeutic #Neurotechnology #Neuromodulation #HealthyAging

This month we celebrate Women’s History and honor the contributions women have made in science, art, education, music, culture and beyond. While we look back, we also look forward to a day when Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative disorders don’t steal from anyone’s most inspired and productive years. Today, women make up almost two-thirds of all Alzheimer’s diagnoses, and there is no cure. Oscillo is laser-focused on a vision of a future free from Alzheimer’s and related dementias. #WomensHistory #AlzheimersDisease #DigitalTherapeutic #Neuroscience #neuromodulation #HealthyAging

February 11 brought us the Super Bowl and Usher… but did you know it was also Inventors Day? Oscillo salutes the Kansas City Chiefs AND all those —young and old—who are out there imagining, sketching, tinkering, concocting and designing our future reality. #InventorsDay #alzheimersdisease #Neurotechnology #inventionsforhealth

This Wednesday, November 8, Oscillo’s Founder and Chief Science Officer, Dr. Ed Large, will be a panelist at a symposium that will delve into all aspects of technology-driven music interventions and how they compare with traditional therapist-led approaches. The panel will discuss research findings, clinical outcomes, and case studies highlighting the advantages and limitations of each approach. This symposium will be hosted by the Sound Health Network, an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts, in partnership with the University of California, San Francisco, in collaboration with the National Institutes of Health, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and Renée Fleming. #Neruotech #MusicTherapy #SoundHealthNetwork
