We see it all the time. Big tech companies with huge resources still end up with websites that leave users lost and frustrated. Cheryl Salazar put it perfectly: "You enter into a conversation and immediately see the patterns, the wrongdoings, and so on." ❌ What NOT to Do: Don’t let your website grow out of control. Avoid adding features and content without considering the user experience. ✅ What You Should Do: Keep it simple and user-focused. Streamline your website, clarify your messaging, and ensure everything is easy to find. Your users will thank you, and so will your bottom line. 🔄 At the end of the day, even the biggest companies need a little help untangling their web. How can B2B tech companies effectively communicate their value to customers through their websites? 😬 According to Cheryl Salazar "Technologists are really smart people. They understand how to build solutions and great solutions, but where they miss the point every single time is in how they translate that for the end customer in a way that the end customer can understand what it is they have to offer." Here’s the problem: 👉 Many tech companies add new features constantly, cluttering their sites with pages that confuse rather than clarify. 👉 They assume their audience speaks the same technical language, alienating decision-makers who just want to know what’s in it for them. 👉 Critical paths like clear calls to action and simple navigation are often afterthoughts. These issues lead to serious setbacks: 💢 Potential customers can’t find what they need, so they leave—FAST. 💢 A messy, jargon-filled website can make even a solid product seem untrustworthy. 💢 All those added features and complex content? They’re just noise if they don’t convert visitors into customers. ❌ Don’t assume your technical prowess speaks for itself. Avoid cluttering your site with unnecessary features and jargon. ✅ Focus on the end user. Streamline your website to highlight the benefits, not just the features. Make sure your messaging is clear, concise, and customer-focused.
