There is no question that the pandemic has boosted demand for telehealth services. But the significance of telehealth in the future of healthcare has been solidified by patients and professionals. I just read an intriguing case about how a telehealth intervention helped transform a clinic's practice: Long wait times and low productivity problems plagued a specialty vascular clinic in the Mountain States. But these problems were fixed when the Telehealth program was implemented. Moreover, there was greater patient loyalty and improved patient access to this specialty treatment. Virtual care delivery, particularly for cardiovascular, neurologic, and kidney diseases, can expand therapy options. I have a strong feeling that telehealth will experience some significant developments as it works to break down obstacles in the delivery of specialty care. Do you agree? #healthcare #technology #virtualcare #remote #care #delivery #homecare #telemedicine #telehealth #specialtycare

What would happen if you offered a 5-year-old a fiction book? When the child does not find any illustrations while flipping through the pages in search of them, he wills the book aside. Many healthcare organizations behave like this 5-year-old kid when it comes to data! How? Read on. Every year, hospitals generate 50 petabytes of data. Clinical notes, lab results, x-rays, sensor readings, genomics, and operational and financial data are all included in this data. However, did you know that more than 90% of this data is never used? The data silos resemble a 1,000-page fiction book with no illustrations. And healthcare organizations overlook and discard these silos. The data needs to be taken out of the silos and analyzed to gain its benefits. And it is only possible through interoperability achieved through system integrations. So how do we do it? We simply need to fix the standardization. Cloud-based health data platforms make data standardized and ready for analysis. It allows payers, providers, and collaborators to align incentives and reap the benefits of shared savings. This helps reduce the cost of care while improving care quality and patient and provider experiences. What's your take on health data management systems today? #datamanagement #healthcaredata #datasilos #digitalhealth #healthtech #cloudsystem
