🏢 Dr. Kofi Asare, assistant professor and head of the Construction Innovation and Analytics Lab, has published two groundbreaking studies that advance the use of data-driven analytics and Digital Twins for predictive building maintenance. His research outlines a system architecture for applying Digital Twins to deferred maintenance decision-making, featured in the American Society of Civil Engineers Global Center’s book “Digital Twins in Construction and the Built Environment.” This framework helps guide the design, implementation, and evaluation of BIM-based Digital Twins for predictive maintenance. Additionally, his latest publication in the "Journal of Building Engineering" offers critical insights into selecting Digital Twin platforms, designing system architectures, and evaluating real-world user interactions and performance. Dr. Asare’s work highlights the potential for predictive maintenance to reduce maintenance costs by 8% to 40% while improving operational efficiency and optimizing energy use in buildings.⚡𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐃𝐫.
