Dear Sisters, Associates and Friends, There are no words that can adequately express our deep gratitude to each of you for the outpouring of love that we have received in the wake of Sister Joanne’s untimely death. But for each of us in the North American community there is a need to share with you how much your words, your presence, your hugs, your tears have carried us during these days and weeks. So many times we have gone over the events leading up to her trip, the fateful fall the evening she arrived in Drumalis , the days of pain and the decision to remain at Villa Pacis until she was strong enough to travel. But “what if” is not the question we ask. Joanne was ready for the reward and she slipped into the arms of Love as gently as she had lived. We give thanks to each of you , to our Congregation of the Sisters of the Cross and Passion. ,our lay Associates, Passionist Community Passionists’ International, friends and relatives of the Fahey family, We are deeply appreciative of our congregational leader, Sister Therese for walking with us and supporting us during these difficult days.
