Hospitals and Health Care

About us

Imagine an entire hospital focused on heart disease care and prevention with a Heart Emergency Center open 24/7. Imagine a hospital that achieves better outcomes and patient satisfaction by making heart care more personal and less intimidating. Imagine a hospital specially designed, equipped and staffed to keep your heart healthy and provide treatment when it's not. We've created that hospital — Heart Hospital of Lafayette. Heart Hospital of Lafayette is changing the way cardiovascular care is provided, bringing patient-focused cardiac care to Acadiana. Swift, responsive and accurate, patient-focused care promotes a feeling of safety and security, fosters healing and ensures better results. We believe this approach is why Heart Hospital of Lafayette is rated one of the nation's Top 50 Cardiovascular Hospitals by Thomson Reuters, and why we continue to win awards and recognition for our commitment to patient outcomes and excellence in cardiac care.

  • Fans brought the energy on Oct. 12 to boost the Ragin' Cajuns to victory over the Appalachian State Mountaineers. Our Lady of Lourdes Health was the game sponsor for the evening, treating those in attendance to special giveaways and honoring Jan Fee, breast cancer surivor, as the Our Lady of Lourdes Health and Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Geaux Hero of the Game. Thanks to everyone who helped bring the magic in The Swamp. #GeauxCajuns #WeAreAllRagin

  • Jan Fee with Our Lady of Lourdes Physician Group Oncologic and General Surgery is familiar with helping cancer patients throughout their journey. Despite a family history, genetic testing indicated she had a 13 percent chance of developing breast cancer. Yet, in October 2023, Jan was diagnosed with the disease. Jan beat the odds previously by overcoming uterine cancer, so she approached this new challenge with the same tenacity. In November Jan underwent a bilateral mastectomy with a lymph node biopsy and recently received her last injection at Our Lady of Lourdes JD Moncus Cancer Center. Small in stature but great in spirit, Jan never backs down from a fight. She says, “Although my outer appearance has changed, I am the same person inwardly…only stronger.” Like our beloved Ragin’ Cajuns, Jan has the heart of a true champion. That’s why she is the Our Lady of Lourdes Health and Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Geaux Hero of the game for Oct. 12!
