🙋♂️🙋♀️ Repeat after me: I solemnly swear to make sure ALL of my staff are informed on how to handle emotional support animals. Doug Chasick, spells out why it is so important to have everyone from leasing to maintenance know exactly what you can and cannot say to residents about ESAs. If your staff aren't properly informed, you could see a crazy surplus of ESAs pretty soon. Or worse, a HUD complaint... We created some resources to pass out to your staff regarding handling ESAs. If you're interested, drop a "send them my way!" in the comments. 

Handling emotional support animal requests is tricky. You need to respect the individual's privacy, remain compliant with Fair Housing laws, and still ensure that the accommodation request is reliable. How does your team handle these requests? #multifamily #propertymanagement
