There's more work to do but more much needed affordable housing is now open in So. Nevada. #ClarkCounty was pleased to join Ovation Property Management as it held the official grand opening of the Tempo IV Senior Affordable Housing Community. Commissioner Jim Gibson, County Manager Kevin Schiller and member of Community Housing team were in attendance along with Governor Joe Lombardo and Congresswoman Dina Titus. Tempo IV is located in the southeast Las #Vegas Valley. There are 208 brand new apartments dedicated to low-income seniors. About 100 seniors have already moved in. This is the first "Welcome Home" Community Housing Fund (https://lnkd.in/gKXVqMVC) project to open. Clark County committed $4.5 million in CHF funds to this project, along with $1.8 million in Clark County U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development HOME funds. With this opening it means that since 2021, Clark County has contributed funding to approximately 4,700 units of affordable housing in our community. Ovation has designed a community with a host of amenities including an on-site salon and wellness center. This will allow residents to get things like hair appointments and visits from doctors without having to leave the premises. There are other wraparound services provided by Coordinated Living of Southern Nevada and a pantry that in partnership with Three Square food bank will help these residents fight food insecurity issues.

Lombardo, Dem lawmakers find common ground celebrating new housing complex for seniors. On Monday, October 21, we held the grand opening and "Welcome Home" ceremony for Tempo IV, a 208-unit affordable apartment complex for seniors. Did you know that Nevada lacks over 78,000 affordable homes for low-income households? Projects like Tempo IV are crucial in bridging this gap and demonstrating how public-private partnerships can address our housing crisis. "Lombardo applauded Ovation for “committing a portion of their development pipeline to affordable housing” and said in order to build more affordable units, more developers need “policies, programs and funding sources that encourage the development of more affordable housing projects.” Read more about the event here: https://lnkd.in/gDRFuE2i

Talk about a home run event! On October 6, we hosted an incredible team-building event at Mesa Park. Our office construction staff competed against our field staff in a friendly competition. The energy was electric, and it was fantastic to see everyone, including our families, come together for fun and camaraderie. A big shoutout to our amazing vendors who made this event extra special: 🎽 Eagle Promotions for the awesome t-shirts that had everyone looking sharp! 🍦 Wright Structural Engineers for treating us all to delicious Fat Daddy's Ice Cream - the perfect refreshment for players and fans alike! 🌭 And let's not forget the world's best corn dogs that kept our energy levels high throughout the day! Events like these remind us of our incredible team at Ovation. It's not just about building structures; it's about building relationships and a strong, united workforce. Affordable Housing Developers Focus On Making Space For Seniors in Southern Nevada “When we’re looking at a housing shortage of around 65,000 just in Southern Nevada, 80,000 in all of Nevada, how do we get enough units built?
