Employee Spotlight: Meet Kristi Bourbon 🌟 Kristi has been with us for three years, and her dedication and hard work as a Purchasing Assistant make her an indispensable asset to our team. Kristi plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of our procurement process. With great attention to detail, she verifies purchase orders to prevent discrepancies and mis-ships, and handles vendor credits. She is the guardian of our educational discount program and works closely with program vendors ESAB, Lincoln Electric, Harris Products, and CK Worldwide. Kristi also manages our internal product consumption and works closely with AP for vendor-related tasks since she has built such strong relationships with our vendors. Before Oxarc, Kristi had a diverse career. She spent five years as a heavy equipment operator and ran a landscaping company for an impressive 14 years. Seeking a change, she decided to explore new horizons. Kristi was an Oxarc customer in her previous ventures and was familiar with our services and values. Kristi found her way to us through an employee referral. Three years later, she still looks forward to coming to work each day, embracing new challenges, and enjoying the camaraderie of her colleagues. Beyond the workplace, Kristi's world revolves around her two sons, 15-year-old Kamdyn and 6-year-old Kyler. Weekends are dedicated to family activities and an active lifestyle, including a passion for snowmobiling. Kyler actively races for Cannon Hill Racing. Former Oxarc VP Don Nelson also enjoyed snowmobile races. Through him, Oxarc had been an annual sponsor of the Vintage Snowmobile Racing in Priest Lake, ID. Say hello to Brian Pennella, one of Oxarc’s Outside Sales Representatives in Pasco, WA. 🌟 Brian's journey at Oxarc began in the fire division, where he ran the shop for a couple of years. He then transitioned to the role of a cylinder filler, specializing in filling hydrogen, butane, and propane. He then gained experience in our band saw shop, producing custom bandsaws for customers and in-house use. For the past three years, Brian has excelled as a sales representative—first in inside sales and now outside sales, where he covers the Tri-Cities area. His primary customers include laboratories, medical facilities, schools, the Hanford landfill, and welders/fabrication shops, where he provides essential products and services. Prior to joining Oxarc, Brian spent a number of years in the powder coating industry. During his career, he also gained valuable experience in retail sales and cold storage. Brian was introduced to Oxarc through a friend who had joined us a few months before he did and encouraged him to come on over! “What I like about Oxarc is the family environment. We’re a close-knit group,” he said. He also acknowledges the excellent career opportunities that the company offers, which have allowed him to grow and develop his skills over the years. Brian is the proud father of two grown daughters, aged 26 and 20, and enjoys the company of his two dogs. Brian is an active member of the SE Washington RC Crawlers. Remote control car rock crawling involves gearing up 1/10th scale cars for climbing and navigating challenging terrain. Through his local club, he participates in various competitions across the region.  Brian Pennella's dedication and diverse experience make him an invaluable asset to Oxarc's outside sales team.
