Our Hearts Go Out to Appalachia As someone who grew up in Southwest Virginia with family roots in Western North Carolina, the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene has hit close to home. My heart breaks for the region—the damage, the loss, and the overwhelming feelings of helplessness and despair. Water is nature's most powerful force, and this storm has shown us once again how vulnerable we are to Mother Nature’s wrath. The Appalachian region is strong, but the path to recovery will be long and challenging. At Oya Construction, we stand in solidarity with those affected. I am closely monitoring relief efforts and will share any volunteer or donation opportunities I come across to help rebuild the communities that have been ravaged.
